Desmond Ebanks

Des is a Principal at Caribbean Services and Development Inc. and Truss Plant Structures where he leads the vision for growth and diversification of both enterprises. Des’ has successfully led the team in product research, procurement and day to day maintenance and management of the business. Starting as an engineering technician at Ford Motor Company, Des has held progressive roles across the automobile and petroleum industries in the UK and Australia. With more than 18 years management experience in the local petroleum industry working for the Cayman Islands Government, A Fortune 500 company and entrepreneurial ventures, including serving as Building Control Unit and API 653 Inspectors, Des co-founded CSDI in 2011. 

Expanding the breadth and scope of company, CSDI entered the truss manufacturing industry via acquisition and continues to grow organically since 2016. Des earned an Associate degree in Civil Engineering while working full time as Operations supervisor at Texaco Caribbean Inc in 2001 and is a graduate member of the Institute of Structural Engineers. Des is a former Director of Community Service with Rotary Sunrise Club and is a member of CI Baptist Church. Des is an avid skier and glider and spends his free time playing soccer, squash, and fly fishing.

Dale Stoudt 
Dale is the Truss Plant Manager at Caribbean Services and Development Inc. where he is responsible for the general operations of the truss plant including truss design, fabrication, and all aspects of production management. Dale joined CSDI in 2016 after 30 years in the lumber truss industry. Starting within the customer service division in 1988, Dale has held progressively senior roles spanning the full gamut of the industry from fabricator/sawyer, truss design technician, salesman to Truss Plant Manager. Dale’s extensive experience both in the local and international markets has led to a successful and fulfilling lifelong career within the Truss industry. Dale has completed numerous truss design and engineered lumber training courses including, “Robbins Engineering Technical Training’, and “University of Truss Joist Fundamentals of Engineered Lumber products”. He has had a hand in a large majority of the buildings in Cayman. A graduate of Oil City High School in Oil City Pennsylvania, Dale’s passion for motor racing, baseball and football has never waned. Dale is a past coach for Cayman Islands Little League baseball and has participated in both the Cayman Islands Co-Ed softball and Cayman Islands Men’s Flag Football Leagues.

Rand Fadhil
Rand is the Structural Coordinator at Caribbean Services and Development Inc. and Truss Plant Structures Ltd. where she is responsible for the design of lumber trusses and cold-formed steel structures including structural wall panels, floor joists and roof trusses. In 2015, Rand moved to Grand Cayman and began working with Tropical Architectural Group as the Design/Project Manager. She worked on projects including Ocean Crest, Vela and Town & Country apartments. Prior to moving to Grand Cayman, Rand was living in the United Kingdom and was working at Buro Happold Engineering as a Graduate Structural Engineer. She was responsible for designing a range of projects including a church, a shopping center refurbishment and a 34-storey tower. Rand holds a master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Leeds and is currently working towards chartership with IStructE.

Brendalee Scott-Novak
Brendalee is a Principal at Caribbean Services and Development Inc. and Truss Plant Structures where she is responsible for the general strategic direction of the firm. In 2010, Brendalee was appointed Senior Portfolio Manager at Butterfield Bank where she was responsible for managing portfolios for institutional clients, high net-worth individuals, and Trusts. She also co-managed several funds: Global Blue Chip and Balanced Funds (Equity & Fixed Income). Prior to joining Butterfield, Brendalee managed capital expenditure projects and led corporate strategic planning at Esso Standard Oil, the local subsidiary of ExxonMobil. Brendalee holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Magna cum laude) from Florida International University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Brendalee also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and the Financial Risk Manager certification. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central. She currently serves on the board of CFA Society of the Cayman Islands, Jubilate and Leadership Council at the Cayman Islands Baptist Church where she chairs the Finance Committee.  Brendalee served as a Board Director of Junior Achievement Cayman Islands for more than a decade and remains passionate about the organization.
